It is Saturday morning. Sallie, Robert and I walked a few blocks to the Dunkin Donut store...but it was closed. Ok, that's a bummer. Why would a donut store be closed on Sat. morning? Sigh. Mike took Ryan to breakfast and he is going to stop and bring donuts home. I had some frustrated kiddos....:)
We are all dragging a bit this morning because we had a desert picnic last nite with new families from the church. It was such a nice evening. One of the dads took the kids sand sledding. He pulls them behind his 4 by 4 thru the dunes. According to Sallie and Robert it was great!!!
Big news! Yesterday we had clouds!! No rain but clouds....I cannot believe how nice it was to have a different sky. I took pictures...but now we can't find Sallie's cord so we'll pass them on to you once it is located. :)

Mattie, I have been going through your blogs and well...OK, Hemmingway. You are a great writter and I am sure the sand and sun are spurring you on to wonderful novels, but where is your address. Ha ha ha.
What day did you post it? Maybe just the month would help. I have some pictures for you. I will email them to you. Love to all.
Hi Hildebrands,
If you have access to Christianity Today magazine, there is a great article in the latest issue about "The Mission of Business" (Maxwell, p 24). It discusses the surge of people doing business as mission (BAM). If you can't get a copy, let me know and I'll figure out a way to get one to you.

Good morning--it's Monday here...I hope you eventually got donuts. Groaning with you as we have had the same experience...looking forward to donuts and then not getting to...my sympathies to Sallie and Robert (and Mattie too--right?)
Sledding on sand--hope you have a pic of that!
So, do they have sand hill plums there? :>) Ask Ryan, I bet he remembers picking plums with us one time when he was in KS!
The article Bobbie talked about sounds interesting. Hope you are able to get it.

Did you think you have to live here to appreciate a picture of clouds??? Hmmm. Shall ponder that one. I don't think my cloud shots nor my shots of raindrops garnered all that much excitement in the homeland...sooooooooo, if no one else goes "WAHOO" ... I'll just stick it out there and say "Yup... clouds are great!! Fabulous shot! Just wait til you get the 5 minutes of rain... P A R T Y!!!"
